I also liked how we we didn't just focus on one sport but we played different ones that taught us to work with each other.  Teamwork was AWESOME!" -A.C. 14 years old

"Hey, Katie, how do I stay active, be healthy, and have fun?"

"Well, Lorna, I go to South Bay JAG.  I'm learning so many helpful things about eating the right foods and exercising while having a blast.  I can even run a mile in eight minutes and sixteen seconds, and we get to play fun games."
"Wow!  That sounds great!  Can I come?"
"Sure, bring all your friends; we will have an awesome time!"
South Bay JAG is an athletic program that helps kids build self-confidence, learn how to exercise the right way, eat healthier, and stay fit.
The camp is filled with many athletic activities to keep us on the move.  Some activities that we have done include running, sit-ups, push-ups, training for sports such as soccer, volleyball, and basketball, and physical assessments.
This may sound like a lot of work; however the coaches make it enjoyable.  We play many games such as kickball, smash ball, frisbee, and football.
Each day gets better and better.  We never run out of fun things to do.  With the help of South Bay JAG, we learn how to live a healthier and more athletic life.  Most importantly, we have FUN!
"Hey, Lorna, did you know that at the end of the camp we get the chance to run in an official 5K?"
"Really?  That sounds like so much fun!"
"Yeah!  After this camp I'll be ready."
"Let's do it!"
