Goals and Activities

Picture
We will enhance your child’s healthy lifestyle while enabling them to become better and more well rounded athletes. Our goal is to train our participants to run a 5k, either for the first time or faster than they have run it before. We will incorporate fun workouts with athletic skills and conditioning drills while developing camaraderie, confidence, teamwork and a love for outdoor fun! We will play sports such as flag football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, as well as games like dodge ball, Frisbee golf and ultimate Frisbee. This year we've added rock climbing at Hangar 18, stand up paddling (SUP) and outrigger canoe paddling with instruction by the current world champion, Danny Ching.

In addition to all this fun, we’ll learn about nutrition and take a trip to a local farmers market.  We'll learn how to train to prevent injury as well as proper stretching techniques. Last and most importantly, we hope to develop friendships and a lifelong interest in a healthy lifestyle and love for fitness.

Why Us?

We truly love sports and working with children and young adults!

There is nothing more rewarding as educators and coaches than having the opportunity to give children an environment where they can feel comfortable and confident to try new things and witness their personal success. We offer children of all abilities the chance to learn new physical and thinking skills through fitness and sports in a non-competitive and non-intimidating setting. We believe that learning new skills are important, not just in sports but in life, building confidence to try new things. A range of skills is necessary for success and leadership, and leaders are life-long learners. We want the children to achieve success. To quote John Wooden, “Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing that you made the best of which you are capable of.”
